I will do my best to describe all the types of lighting choices you have for decor lighting at your wedding. There are a few technical things I need to go over with you to give you a better understanding, of the terms and pictures below.

Intelligent lighting - Is light fixtures that computer or controller board operated using a programming language called DMX-512 what this allows you to do is have a very programmed type of event. An example of this would be changing the lighting color in the whole room with a touch of a button. Down side to this is you have to run wiring from light to light. It is very time consuming to set up. And will increase cost sometimes. There are wireless options but only allow 12 to 16 lights and are expensive.

Non-Inteligent lighting (Dumb Lighting) Is static once set it will stay that way.

L.E.D. Lighting vs.Candesant Par Cans

Modern L.E.D (Light Emitting Diode)style fixtures which are smaller, more discrete, use less electricity (your venue manager will love this) and offer a wider range of colors. They operate virtually "cold" so you do not have to worry about curious kids burning themselves. They use only 13 watts per fixture, versus up to 300 watts for a large PAR can fixture. However, don't be fooled that LED style up light can cover all color ranges. In fact, they do NOT do well in the Yellow, Gold, Amber and Orange ranges. (pictures to the right)

Up Lighting

Up Lighting that is shown up walls, columns or spotted onto a specific area will bring a beautiful and stimulating feel to your event - all to make it better! Even place them outside and shine them up trees or into bushes and shrubbery. Choose from 64 different colors to beautifully match your style, theme or the desired feel you're looking to achieve. Up lighting can be placed on the floor to shine up columns, up walls or behind trees and other props to give that extra appeal. They can also be clamped onto railings, trusses or onto tree's for outdoor applications. (picture to the right)

Wash Lighting

Wash lighting is just as it sounds - to "wash" light and color onto a particular area. By using washes of color, this effect will really help set an overall mood and tone to your event. They can be set to a static color, or can by synchronized and scan through different colors.

Monograms

A design consisting of two or more alphabetic letters combined or interlaced, commonly one's initials, often printed on stationery, embroidered on clothing, etc. We use lighting to do this. (picture to the right)

Spot Lighting

Is just like it sounds able to spotlight aspects of and event. It could be items ike the cake. Or Spot lighting or (Pin Spotting) each table. It could be you during the first dance using intelligent moving head lights. (Description Below). Spot Lighting is a way of focusing attention of the crowd at a event.

Moving Heads

Are a type of intelligent light fixture that you have seen on the shows Dancing with the stars, Minute to Win it, Deal or No Deal. They are amazing fixtures and expensive each one can cost upwards of $2000.00. They allow amazing things to happen. Putting patterns of lights on walls, can be used for spot lighting. They will be a great dance floor enhancer when the party start, but are amazing for lighting decor usage. (picture to right)

StarLight Ceiling

Using lasers the best lighting to make this happen are from a company called "Bliss Lighting" these fixtures are expensive. They can be Intelligent Lights but usually only used to make the ceiling have a star effect on it. The Bliss 50 is the projector that started the magical series of Star field projectors which are becoming famous for projecting a Starry Night Sky in homes and events across the nation. The Bliss Light 50 generates an enormous universe of stars over a blue nebula cloud field that wows spectators. This powerful laser has become very popular with DJs, Night Clubs, event producers, wedding planners, landscape architects and home owners for its amazing effects. This is the largest power unit available outside of custom orders. When you aim this unit into a forest or garden the moving beams appear to be fireflies moving through the leaves and branches of trees and shrubs for a magical effect that is out of this world.(picture to the right)
